Patient FAQs

  • What does IWIRC stand for?

IWIRC = Illinois Work Injury Resource Center

  • What do you do there?

IWIRC’s occupational health facilities are dedicated to workplace health and wellness. Each clinic offers acute work-injury medical care, physical therapy, industrial rehabilitation, drug testing, physicals, functional testing, on-site diagnostics, and lab services, plus immunizations and fingerprint background checks, all under one roof.

  • Where is IWIRC?

IWIRC Front 1IWIRC is located in downtown Peoria near the riverfront at 736 SW Washington Street.  IWIRC building is located between State Stree and Oak Street.

  • Can I choose which clinic I want to go to?

Yes, however, be sure to mention to your scheduler if you have a location you prefer.

  • Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, we prefer an appointment for most services is made in advance. IWIRC prides itself on getting you an appointment at one of our clinics within 48-72 hours of your call. Without an appointment, you would have to wait until previous walk-in patients, and previously scheduled patients are seen first. When someone who came in after you gets called back before you, please remember that IWIRC is built to accommodate ‘walk-in’ patients for drug tests and a few other services which do not require the patient to be seen by a provider. These tests are done in a separate area, and they move in and out more quickly than a scheduled physical.

  • What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You need your driver’s license and/ or state ID. You may need other documentation or paperwork depending upon the reason for your visit. Be sure to ask when you make your appointment; your scheduler can tell you if there are forms you can fill out ahead of time and bring with you. Most forms are available to download and print, or you can go to the FORMS tab at the top of this page.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to call us at (309) 497-0300 and we will be glad to assist you.
